George H. W. Bush ‘Touched’ Me When I Was 16, Woman Speaks

Another woman has accused George H. W. Bush of groping her buttocks without consent – and RadarOnline.com has learned the victim was just 16 when the alleged incident happened.

In an interview with TIME, Roslyn Corrigan claimed she was inappropriately touched by the former president during an event in Texas in 2003. She was posing for a photo with her mom and Bush, when the politician allegedly groped her bottom.

“My initial action was absolute horror. I was really, really confused,” Corrigan told TIME. “The first thing I did was look at my mom and, while he was still standing there, I didn’t say anything. What does a teenager say to the ex-president of the United States? Like, ‘Hey dude, you shouldn’t have touched me like that?’”

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Corrigan is the sixth woman to come forward accusing Bush of sexual misconduct.

“I don’t know, maybe it never really hit people that I was a child at the time and that goes beyond a guy being inappropriate in the workplace to a peer or somebody in his age range,” she said. “I was a child.”

Following the incident, Corrigan immediately told her mother Sari, who claimed that she now knows she should’ve spoken out, but she stayed quiet because of Bush’s powerful position.

“I was really, really upset — she was very upset, she was really, really mad,” she said of her daughter’s reaction.

“Had it been just some Joe Blow or something. I’d probably chase him down and yell at him,” she added. “But, you know, it’s the president. What are you supposed to do?”

“You should—you should have always spoken up, always,” she admitted, “but we didn’t.”

As Radar previously reported, Bush’s rep claimed that his alleged groping comes from his years of sitting in a wheelchair.

“At age 93, President Bush has been confined to a wheelchair for roughly five years, so his arm falls on the lower waist of people with whom he takes pictures. To try to put people at ease, the president routinely tells the same joke — and on occasion, he has patted women’s rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner,” said spokesman Jim McGrath in a statement.

Regardless, Bush was standing upright in 2003 when he allegedly groped Corrigan.
