Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos has stopped Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) from carrying out their previous duties on roads in the state.
The order is with immediate effect.It was learnt that the governor was adviced on the complaints from motorists about the alleged illegal operations of the state officials.
Motorists in Lagos state had constantly complained about the harsh method Vehicle Inspection Officers carry out their activities.
