Chi is set to star in action-packed comedy film, Banana Island Ghost (B.I.G) by BAM NEMSIA Pictures scheduled to be released in the summer of 2017,
B.I.G is a slapstick movie about a ghost who is scared to go to Heaven because he doesn’t have a soulmate, so he convinces God to give him three days to fall in love. He is paired with the cantankerous firecracker, Ijeoma (played by Chigul) who will do anything to save her father’s house in Lagos’ prestigious Banana Island from being reclaimed by the bank.
B.I.G is the first from a slate of five films in a co-production partnership between Biola Alabi Media (BAM) and Nemsia Films – both of whom are combining their creative capabilities and wealth of experience to produce a slate of ground-breaking films set to redefine Nollywood.
According to Biola Alabi, the CEO of Biola Alabi Media, “This partnership with Nemsia Films – headed by BB Sasore and Derin Adeyokunnu – is part of our mission to work with great talents to tell great African stories for a local and global audience.” She also stated, “The Nemsia team [who is behind the production of Before 30, the most watched African show] brings a fresh perspective and energy to the Nollywood landscape.”
B.I.G is set to be an instant classic and pop-culture staple, from Nollywood to the rest of the world. It also stars industry heavyweights such as Ali Nuhu, Saheed Balogun, Bimbo Manuel, Uche Jombo, Damilola Adegbite, Dorcas Shola Fapson, Patrick Diabuah and Tomiwa Edun.
