Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has appointed a 72-year-old , Pa Olatunde Afolayan, as the caretaker chairman of Moba Local Government Area.Fayose said many of the champions of democracy in Nigeria depended on them to survive during electioneering.

He said, “Some of us used them to get to positions and forget these people. In my government, whether you are educated or not, you will get something. The vote of a professor and an illiterate is the same. So, under my administration, those who are not educated can rise to any level they want.”

Afolayan, who said he would have been grateful if the governor had made him a ward chairman, commended him for the gesture, promising to surpass the records left behind by his predecessors.

He said, “I had never gone to school for a day, but that does not diminish my intelligence. I may not be educated or certificated, but I have brain and experience to pilot the affairs of the council.”

My life changed last night. I cried when Lauryn was performing and thinking, in my life time I see woman wey I use her songs learn work!!!!! She killed it! She gave me music life! So I got home and next thing my phone rings “waje Lauryn wants to meet u? I ran back like I was going to collect the certificate that validates the school of music life I have been in since, she took my hand and I cried all thru…… I’m so sure I embarrassed her but i had to tell her how grateful I am. Thank you Lauryn for music… Long story short, do your own with diligence and authenticity and you will save lives, inspire people to reach their goals as she inspired many singers and musicians. I’m so honored. Shout out to my sis @jbeautifull
