CCTV caught a 6-year-old girl being led away to be raped and murdered

A man was trapped in a CCTV that had a six year old girl in a dark street before brutally raping and killing her. The girl had disappeared after being robbed of a wedding near Gwalior, India. His body was discovered in a wooded area shortly after, with his face mutilated.  CCTV shows the man who carried the girl in an abandoned street at 11.30 a.m. on Thursday. You can see the girl walking next to the man before trying to take a break and escape.

The man was later caught returning alone at around 2.30am.

The girl’s parents raised the alarm after noticing the girl had gone missing from the wedding venue.

Police launched a search in the area throughout the night and eventually discovered the body of the child in a field just 500metres away from the marriage function.

A member of the catering team that was hired for the reception was arrested from the CCTV material. An investigation is ongoing and the suspect is being questioned.

A post-mortem report suggested the girl’s face had been badly mutilated by a large stone.

Dharmraj Meena, the Senior Superintendent of Police of Gwalior, said:

‘Our team reached the spot along with the forensic experts, after seeing the crime scene it is quite clear that the child had undergone a brutal sexual assault.

‘The criminal had used a big stone to smash her face and kill her. We have started an investigation and the culprit will be apprehended soon. ‘Right now we have zeroed in on one person who is a part of the catering team, we are questioning him for further leads.’
