In a move that caused dissatisfaction with social media, football player in Russia, Stanislav Manayev overturned his nose with 5,000 rubles - equivalent to the N31,000-note.
In developing social media videos, Manayev describes traveling to a plane with teammates.
FC Tonso player asks a person if they have anything for him to clear his nose in, before giving a bunch of 5,000 ruble notes.
"I can give this money to people with big needs, but I will not do it because I have a snot," he said and blinked his nose with the note, before throwing it on the floor.
This video was subsequently uploaded to Instagram, though it was removed shortly after, because the account was dropped by comments of disapproval.
Russian sports minister Pavel Kolobkov also controversial video.
"There is no doubt that the video points to a low level of player culture, I'm sure it will serve as a lesson," he says.
Manayev, also head of the organizing committee of the 2018 World Cup, Alexei Sorokin.
