On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, Akufo-Addo was the Special Guest of Honour at the 98th Commencement Exercises of the University of Liberia.
Ghana’s president received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters Degree Honoris Causa in International Law.
The president wrote on his Facebook page:
“I received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters Degree Honoris Causa in International Law, “in recognition of your substantive contribution to strengthening the Rule of Law in Ghana, and also in recognition of your substantive contributions in Liberia’s peace building process, coupled with your invaluable service to the Ghana State over the years, as a veritable patriot.””
